Tosa Mizuki is a deciduous shrub in the Hamamelidaceae family.Although it grows naturally only in the serpentine region around Tosa (Kochi Prefecture), it is cultivated throughout the country.In early spring, before the leaves have sprouted, six or seven pale yellow spikes of flowers appear.
Tosa Mizuki originated in Kochi Prefecture (Tosa), Japan, and is one of the local traditional bonsai styles. It was inspired by the natural landscape of the Tosa region, especially Tosa's beautiful mountains and coastline.
