In Japanese culture, maple is associated with time, growth, gratitude and change. The tradition of momijigari is a journey to seek and appreciate autumn leaves.

PLAN+T selects Japanese maple bonsai, including mountain maple and other cultivated varieties. Each has been shaped through years of growing and care while retaining the elegance of its leaves and branches.

Seasonal colour depends on the variety, weather and growing conditions. Watching those changes is part of living with the tree.

Pre-orders usually arrive by air in about 3 weeks. FPS / PayMe orders require a 50% deposit; credit card orders require full payment.

Complimentary delivery is available for bonsai to Hong Kong Island, Kowloon and the New Territories. Delivery to outlying islands is not available. Gardening supply shipping is shown on the product page.

How do I pre-order a Japanese bonsai?

Choose a tree, then confirm payment and delivery arrangements. Understand each step before looking forward to its arrival.

  1. Choose your tree

    Choose from photographs of the actual trees, and review their dimensions and videos. Send us the product link if you have questions.

  2. Confirm and pay

    Confirm the tree, arrival and delivery arrangements. FPS / PayMe orders require a 50% deposit; credit card orders are paid in full. Please confirm how the remaining balance will be paid.

  3. Air freight from Japan

    Pre-orders usually arrive in about 3 weeks, subject to the confirmed arrangements. We will contact you if weather or logistics affect delivery.

  4. Arrange delivery

    We will contact you by WhatsApp, phone or email to arrange a suitable handover time and can offer everyday care advice.

Before you order

Will I receive the tree in the photographs?

Individual bonsai are normally sold using photographs of the actual tree. Where a listing specifies reference images, size-based supply or a seasonal batch, follow that listing and the order confirmation. Living plants change with growth and the seasons.

Does about 3 weeks guarantee a delivery date?

This is an estimated arrival time, not a guaranteed delivery date. Confirm the batch and delivery arrangements before ordering. For a gift, tell us your preferred date early. Weather, holidays and logistics can affect timing.

How can I pay?

Current pre-order terms require a 50% deposit for FPS / PayMe or full payment by credit card. Confirm deposit and balance arrangements with us. Online credit card checkout charges the full order amount.

Where do you deliver and what does it cost?

Pre-order bonsai currently include complimentary delivery to Hong Kong Island, Kowloon and the New Territories. Delivery to outlying islands is not available. Share your address and any special handling needs; the final arrangements are confirmed with your order.

Unsure whether your space is suitable?

Send photographs of the intended position and describe its light, airflow and daily care arrangements. Species have different needs, and an attractive display position may not provide suitable growing conditions.
