Collection: Satsuki azaleas in stock

A season of flowers, worth waiting for.

Satsuki azalea grows quietly through much of the year before its seasonal display transforms the canopy with colour.

In Japanese culture, the flowers are associated with happiness, joyful encounters and new beginnings. Flowering time and appearance vary with the cultivar and growing conditions.

Kanuma, in Tochigi Prefecture, is known for Satsuki cultivation. Generations of growers have developed a rich selection of varieties, celebrated in the city’s Satsuki festival.

PLAN+T selects Japanese Satsuki bonsai whose cultivated tree forms and flowers complement one another, offering another way to enjoy the changing seasons.
